Frequently Asked Questions

  • Will it hurt?

The first one or treatments may be a little tender but this is only natural as the reflexes have become blocked. The tender feeling is the shifting of the blockage and over time this will clear, resulting in a much healthier you!

  • Do you use talc?

No. I use a talc-free product which is 99.63% natural. It is a dusting powder containing cornstarch, baking soda, french pink clay, natural clay, powdered rosebuds, powdered myrrh and powdered slippery elm bark. It is also not testing on animals. If you wish to visit the website of the product I use then click here..
It is used as a dusting powder for babies but it is so nice my clients always ask for it.

  • How long is a treatment?

The first treatment will include a free 30 minute consultation (unless a consultation has been completed prior to the initial treatment) and will therefore be 1hr 30 minutes in length. Subsequent treatments last between 50 minutes and 1hr 15 minutes. The average treatment length is an hour.

  • What happens during a normal session?

    See the Typical Session page.

  • When will I notice the benefits?

This varies. Some people don't notice any improvements until treatment 4 or 5. Other people notice the benefits almost immediately. There is no 'typical'. Most people find they are more relaxed after treatments and sleep very well. As you become more relaxed your body has chance to rest and repair. So by following the after care advice and doing the best you can for yourself the greater the benefits as your body is able to restore balance.

  • Are there any side effects?

There are some possible side effects to a treatment but these are transitory. They do not impair the effects of the treatment in any way but merely show you how stressed your body is.

Reported side effects include headaches, sleepiness, feeling tearful and reoccurence of previous symptoms. This is all due to you body ridding itself of toxins and clearing emotional and mental stress. Drinking a glass of water before a treatment and then plenty of water after and between treatments will help this process and lessen these possible side effects.

The side effects are usually experienced after the first one or two treatments but then fade. This shows how your body is benefiting from the treatments.

  • Should I wash my feet?

This question is asked quite often. It is not necessary for you to wash your feet because I will use a wipe to freshen them up before I start the treatment. But as the aim of the treatment is for you to feel as relaxed as possible if it will make you feel more comfortable to wash your feet before hand then this is entirely up to you.
